Lisa
Burford Hardmon, MNO has over 20 years of experience in the
nonprofit sector, including thirteen years as an executive and
seven years as a consultant.
Lisa is former executive
director
of Public Allies DC. She also worked
in resource
development for the American Heart Association and was on staff
at theNational Centerfor Nonprofit Boards (now BoardSource) where she advised and
facilitated sessions for nonprofit boards throughout the
country.

Lisa's consulting work focuses on capacity
building, offering workshops and trainings on board development,
resource development, strategic planning, and executive
transition. During her four-year affiliation with
TransitionGuides, Lisa has served as a project lead or key
technical consultant on 18 executive transition projects.
Lisa
holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The
American University and a Master of Nonprofit Organizations
degree from
Case
Western Reserve
University. She is involved in a number of local initiatives in her
hometown of
Washington
,
DC
, including Leadership Washington, a founding member of Black
Female Executive Directors Developing Capacity, and various
committees for the Center for Nonprofit Advancement.
